Path of Exile item upgrading;
Hernandez-chu-2.technetbloggers.de says,
Item upgrading allows players to upgrade their weapons and gear with new affixes, boosting its base stats or adding additional perks. To upgrade an item, the player has to have it in their inventory as well as access to the kiln.
Items that have weak bases, such as rings can be upgraded to stronger bases. Items with strong bases, such as the Titans of eth have little changes in their stats.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to armors, weapons trinkets, weapons and gathering tools. They can be used as an attribute bonus or extra effect, while the equipment is being used. They can be bought from vendors, or found in loot, dropped by enemies, or obtained as rewards from missions or chests. Certain upgrades can also be equipped with special cosmetic effects. Most upgrades require that the equipment be at a certain level before you can upgrade.
To upgrade an
item upgrader of armor, the user must select it, and then click the Upgrade button in the toolbar. The screen will show on the right-hand side of the screen a preview showing the expected upgrade statistics and the necessary component or materials.
There are three kinds: universal upgrades (which include gems), prefix upgrades, and suffix upgrade components. Universal upgrades, which include gems, are able to be used in any kind of equipment and provide smaller bonuses than upgrade components that are type-restricted. Infusions are gems that can only be used in equipment that is legendary or ascended. They provide the same bonuses as jewels, but they cannot be used in any other equipment. Suffix upgrades are able to be placed in gathering tools, will add their names to the end of the name of the item they are attached to, for instance adding an Glyph to a Staff Wrapping of Minor Vigor would change it to a Canthan Staff Wrapping of Minor Vigor.
If an individual upgrades a gathering tool and replaces glyphs with another glyph the previous one will be returned to their inventory. However, replacing any other upgrade component can destroy it, with the exception of inscriptions which can be freely swapped.
Leveling
The upgrade system in Path of Exile has some significant changes from previous versions. Gear is now categorized in tracks, and each item can only be upgraded a certain number of times before it is "leveled out." The costs for upgrading increase with each level, however the materials required do not. This allows players to concentrate their efforts on a specific few items and maximize the effect of those items rather than spreading upgrade costs over multiple pieces.
When an item is leveled out in this way, it is capable of receiving an upgrade set of components, as well as an increase in the likelihood that the upgrade will succeed. This bonus is referred to as the Artisan's Power and it is reset to 0 in the event of failure, or increases when the upgrade succeeds.
Once a piece is upgraded to its highest level, it will be able to receive the affixes needed to enhance its abilities. The number of affixes that are available will depend on the item's type. For example the rare or exclusive weapon with a normal base will only have two affixes available for it, while legendary armors will have up to eight affixes available for it.
Each upgrade process requires a specific number of Flightstones or Crests, based on whether the item is at its current level, and in which slot it is located in. Weapons typically require more Flightstones than other equipment.
If an item does not attain its maximum level The NPC will offer the player the option of transfer it to another character and re-infuse it with a different set of upgrades. This procedure can take as long as two hours, and costs the same amount of material. However it has a lower rate of success.
Engineers employ a level to compare the height of the building against an established location, such as the benchmark. This is referred to as a "level-loop." It involves taking readings with the backsight rod and the level, then turning the level and taking the foresight rod reading. This method ensures that buildings are constructed to a high level of safety and accuracy.
Rerolling
Rerolling is the process of changing the upgrade components of an item. It is an important aspect of the game and can significantly increase the strength of an item or damage, as well as other attributes. This can be done through the item menu or by clicking the Reroll button on an upgraded item. Rerolling can be costly and should only be done in very rare instances.
The game allows players to recycle upgraded items, which can be used to obtain reroll tokens. These tokens can be used to upgrade the original
item upgrader mod or a similar item. Recyclable items come with an indicator of the level which shows how much of the upgrade gauge is filled. The rarity and cost of upgrading an item will determine the amount of level filled.
In the past, certain
upgrade items had priority affixes which made them easier to roll for than others. It meant that you'd get the stats most important to your build more frequently than others. These included things such as the armor's total armor, thorns and duration reduction stats that are controlled or the weapon's bonus attack speed and critical strike chance.
This has changed since the last patch. Priority affixes are no longer required and all upgrades will have the same chance of rolling for each stat. This could be a positive or a negative thing dependent on your needs and requirements from your equipment.
Each upgraded item may have a unique bonus that increases the power of the item by a fixed percentage or flat value. These bonuses are added to the regular affixes. The more you improve an item, the greater your chance of getting an exclusive bonus.
The game also comes with number sets that grant the player a bonus if three or four upgraded items from the set are installed on an item. This is a great method to add a lot of power to a specific character without spending a lot of money.
Many players reroll their weapons and gear particularly in the initial stages. This is because rerolling could give players a faster route to becoming a strong character, allowing them to reach higher levels and advance in the game faster.
Sets
Sets are collections of elements that can be arranged in different ways. They can be of different sizes, have no elements, or only contain a single element. They are useful for organizing data or sorting information. They also aid in analyzing patterns. Sets can be classified in various ways such as size and shape.
The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom provides a wide range of set items that can be upgraded. Certain items are worth upgrading while others aren't. Upgrades are worthwhile for armor sets with high defense value and set bonuses. However, weapon upgrades often don't improve the stats of the item when as compared to their purple counterparts. This makes them less appealing to upgrade when your collection of weapons and armor pieces is already large.
Set items can be upgraded to include special functions that are beneficial for specific builds. This is evident in Aldur's Advance Boots and Guillaume's Face. Both were upgraded to Exceptional Winged Helms and Exceptional Mirrored Boots, respectively. This increased their defense from 217 to 321. (Strength requirements and Level requirements also increased).
Upgrades can also be done to bring certain items up to parity with the levels. The Immortal King Set, for example, has a wide range of levels, from 29 to 75. Upgrades to lower-level items of the set can increase their defense and increase their competitiveness in terms of damage.
Clicking the Upgrade button will display the attributes of the
item level upgrade as well as the items required to upgrade it. It will show the item's features, as well as the items needed to upgrade it. For example the No-mouth face will require 1.1K Scrap Materials as well as 250 Enchanted Dust, and 5 Glowing Shards to upgrade. Players can also look up the upgrade requirements for specific items at the Cyrodiil Golden vendor or Leaderboard.
Generally speaking generally speaking, jewelry and weapons offer more value for trade when they are fully upgraded than armor. Particularly for weapons with damage glyphs for spells or weapons, upgrading them to gold is recommended because it will result in a significant increase in their power. Weapons with an upgraded appearance will also benefit from this, since its defense value will increase as it goes from purple to gold.
