The digital artwork

After weeks of social-media posts hints, luxury car maker Lamborghini finally announced its first venture for tokens that are non-fungible (NFT). The Space Key is a collection of five physical items which unlocks a unique digital artwork by an unknown artist. The collectors' item was developed in collaboration with NFTPRO(tm) and is limited to five units. It will be auctioned off soon.

Each Space petron key to lamborghini contains a block comprised of the most advanced carbon-fire composite material. It was shipped to the International Space Station as part of a 2019 research program. After returning to Earth the Space Key was imprinted with a QR code, which connects it to the digital component of the Space Key.

Each of the five Space Keys will feature a separate moment that occurs a few seconds apart as the lamborghini key replacement Ultimae lifts off toward the stars. More than 600 million pixels each of the five images that were taken by photographer Fabian Oefner.

Oefner employed an inflatable camera fitted with a lens to capture the individual images, which were later put together into the final image. The result is an out of this world image that reveals the beauty of the Earth and the futuristic, hyper-realistic view of the car rising from it. The Space Keys will be auctioned off soon, but the exact date and time of the auction haven't yet been confirmed yet.

The five NFTs can be bought by making an online registration. Each NFT will be auctioned off separately and the winner will receive an original digital art work by the renowned photographer Fabian Oefner that captures five different moments that the Space Key experienced during its journey through space.
