Transponder Chip Key
The transponder key is a security device for cars that sends a unique code when it's inserted into the ignition. The immobilizer blocks the vehicle's fuel pump, starter motor and any other system that would otherwise allow it to function not for the chip's unique identification code.
The key is typically made of metal and has a plastic head which houses the transponder. To remove the ignition key, you'll need to use a screwdriver in order to get sufficient leverage.
