Path of Exile Item Upgrading
The most effective way to upgrade your equipment in Path of Exile is through item upgrades. This lets you improve it without having to rely on expensive trades or drops. This article will show you how to upgrade your gear effectively.
Upgrades to equipment give a bonus on the item's stats. The bonus is according to the rarity and strength of the upgrade component.
Components
Upgrade components make your armour and weapons better. You can locate them through destroying enemies, buying them from karma vendors or finding them in the form of item-spheres. They can also be salvaged from equipment that contains them or by using the highest-quality salvage kits like the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components cannot be destroyed by removing them from an item.
Upgrade components are primarily used to improve an item however, they can also be used for other purposes. They can be stacked to increase the level of experience gained by upgrading existing equipment or weapons. They can also be forged to give additional bonuses. For example, a created glyph can increase the chance of upgrading its target, while an upgrade boost will boost the defense or attack property of a weapon, or armor.
You can bind an upgrade template to an item by selecting it from the edition GUI. This will display the list of upgrade components that the item can be upgraded to. You can also make use of the workbench to choose an upgrade template. In either case, an item will be upgraded once enough upgrade components have been gathered.
Each component has its own experience multiplier. This determines the amount of experience an item gains when upgraded using that component. Organic components, like, have a higher multiplier of experience than mechanical components. You should upgrade the organic components first, until you reach the next rank in the weapon or equipment, and then move on to mechanical upgrades.
Each item comes with a maximum upgrade number that is available for. The number of upgrades are determined by the upgradeable rank and the type of upgrade available to the upgradeable item. The highest level of upgrade is a weapon of the tier 10. However, the most commonly used upgrades for weapons are an tier 6 weapon as well as an armor upgrade of tier 5.
Sets
A set is a set of items which all have the same bonus. Each item in the set can be upgraded at least one time, and the upgrade will increase the guaranteed bonuses. When you first upgrade an item or set piece, it will receive an increase of +1 to its primary stat. After subsequent upgrades, primary stats are enhanced even more (for instance, +1 for 12+/13+/14+) and each time an item is upgraded one of its stats will increase randomly.
Upgrades can also boost a weapon's damage base. This can be crucial for certain builds. Weapons aren't upgraded to give a higher maximum defence roll than their base. It is a good way to improve the value of a set and unique items, but it is important to keep in mind that they may not be superior to a high-level runeword in any build.
If an item you're upgrading has a guaranteed bonus it is able to be rerolled only once and its guarantee will be reset to zero. The same power dies are used to roll an item, just as it is used to upgrade it. However the new
Item Upgrader Kit comes with different bonuses. Upgrades can be made by visiting the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you will need a power die of each type (Dice 4 or 6 drop from monsters 21+ and Giants; dice 7 drops from bosses) and the appropriate amount of Minerals and Erons. These can be purchased with Gold at the crafting table, or in the Ultra Collection. NPCs also offer special rewards for each stage of the upgrade process. The reward can be rerolled one time, using the same materials and components as the first item.
Rerolling
A player is able to roll any item they have acquired in the game if they have enough tokens. If an
item level upgrade is rerolled, it will be replaced with an equivalent level 1 version from another set. Reroll tokens are sold in the store for a small sum of in-game currency. They cannot be refunded. The new
Best item upgrader will offer the same bonuses as the original, but the stats will be different.
In addition to rerolling objects, players can also change the identity of any equipment by interfacing with an upgrader NPC. This will change the identification from an armored weapon to a weapon, or vice versa, all the while keeping its basic stats and the attributes it requires. The change will be permanent and affect all characters who have the equipment.
Players can also boost the level of an item equipped equipment by acquiring
upgrade items and conversing with the item's upgrader NPC. The cost of upgrading will depend on the upgrade track, the item type, and the number of crests. Each step will give an additional 5% of damage to weapons.
Upgrading an item can boost its power, but it will also lower its quality. Therefore, it is crucial to strike a balance between the two. Certain items might not be worth upgrading and some will require to be upgraded to realize their potential. For example one player might decide to upgrade a piece breakpoint armor with an interesting modifier (% chance to block or FHR) to discover what it could be.
The primary reason why people reroll in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game, is because they are trying to acquire a certain character or weapon that they wouldn't otherwise be able to acquire. The process of obtaining these items can be costly and time-consuming, and the RNG gods aren't always willing to cooperate. The only alternative is to spend money or grind extensively. Rerolling is a popular feature in Genshin Impact.
Leveling
You can choose whether to upgrade the weapon or armor when you upgrade an item. However, this feature is absolutely nothing in the current game. I believe it was intended to to increase the value of rare items, but as gear in general drops fairly quickly and can only be upgraded one level up and you'll typically replace the item before it becomes old enough. It's also not worthwhile to
upgrade items with gem sockets as the power of the gem will be greater than the higher ilvl that comes with the upgrade.
You will see a small window when you click the upgrade option on an item. It will show the template for the item, its crest, and the Valorstone cost to raise the level of the item. Armor and weapons will have different costs, with the latter usually being more expensive. The upgrade template lists the stats that will be added to the upgraded item and also lists its current ilvl.
The cost of the Valorstone and Crest is calculated using the item's current Ilvl and the upgrade templates. The ilvl is also decreased by the upgrade templates lvl reduction percentage. For instance an upgrade of 8% will reduce the ilvl of a weapon by 8 to 8percent.
The item will receive upgrades to other stats, such as critical strike damage, PvE damages, and block, parry, and dodge rating in addition to the base ilvl. These increases are dependent on the upgrade template.
The amount of damage and defense that the item will receive as it gets leveled up can be observed below the upgrade cost and decrease percentages in the upgrade template window. All armor and weapons, except practice equipment, get these stats when they level up. The market will determine the value of these stats. A weapon or armor that has perfect rolls can command more than a non-upp’d version. Similar is the case for other armor pieces, like tiaras and circlets.
